Fines and profit confiscation

This section contains standards and principles developed for the compensation of individual victims and States when companies are fined or have their profits confiscated due to corrupt activity overseas.

United Kingdom: General Principles to compensate overseas victims (including affected States) in bribery, corruption and economic crime cases

These are a common framework developed by the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), National Crime Agency (NCA) and Serious Fraud Office (SFO) to identify cases where compensation is appropriate and act swiftly in those cases to return funds to the affected countries, companies or people.
